Pour apple juice into saucepan and heat until simmering (some slow cookers do not require you to heat liquid first so you can just pour the apple juice over the gammon).
Pour apple juice over gammon, place the slow cooker lid on and cook on slow for 8 hours. When cooked take the gammon out and it should just fall apart (and melt in the mouth!) rather than waste the apple juice why not use it as a base of a home made apple sauce?
Serve with new potatoes, seasonal veg and apple sauce.
