About this recipe: Wonderful spicy sausages to eat hot with mash and veg or wrapped in a tortilla. Also great cold in a bun or wrap for a packed lunch.

Serves: 4 

  • 1 pack (1lb) good quality sausages
  • 1 jar hot or mild salsa dip

Prep:3min  ›  Cook:5hr  ›  Ready in:5hr3min 

  1. Arrange sausages evenly on bottom of crockpot.
  2. Cover with salsa - there will not seem to be enough, but there is.
  3. Let cook on low all day (5 to 8 hours)
  4. Serve with mash or noodles, or wrap in tortillas or on wholemeal buns.

Serving suggestion

Also fantastic when cold and put in sandwiches or wraps to take to work or school.

Very tasty and so simple to make but would put some sauce underneath sausages next time as they stuck to the cooker. - 10 Feb 2010
