Garlic chicken with tomatoes

    Quick and easy to prepare and then pop all the ingredients in the slow cooker together. Just leave and simmer for five hours. My family love this recipe, the chicken is cooked so it's lovely and tender, and the tomatoes make it sweet and the garlic gives an extra great taste.

    Serves: 3 

    • 3 chicken breasts
    • 180ml chicken stock
    • 1 small onion, finely chopped
    • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    • 250ml single cream
    • 12 cherry tomatoes

    1. Seal the chicken for a few minutes until lightly brown in pan with olive oil. Then pop in slow cooker. Add the chopped garlic and onion, then add stock. Pour in the cream and lightly stir. Lastly add the tomatoes and just place on top of the chicken breasts. Pop on cooker lid and simmer for 5 hours.

    This was not a good looking meal although it tasted ok, I followed the recipe to the letter and found the single cream curdled. It put me off a little.  -  18 Sep 2013

    Something else. This was great but i just added some mixed herbs parsley chopped chives, about 10 mushrooms chopped and 2 rashers of bacon. i didnt have chicken breasts so i used a kg of thigh fillets and just used 250ml chicken stock and only 200 ml cream.. was so yummy.  -  23 Aug 2010  (Review from Allrecipes AU | NZ)
