This is an amazingly quick recipe to make. Chicken thighs are baked alongside a garlic and oyster sauce mix. It's slighty sweet and sticky and delicious served with rice.
Used different ingredients. I changed the icing sugar to brown demerera sugar, I added 1 tbsp shaoshing rice wine (which is like chinese sherry), 1 tbsp of Japanese black rice wine vinegar and 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce. I then heated this on the hob before adding it to the oven so that there weren't big sugar granules. I just made this for lunch now and it is delicious! My whole family couldn't get enough! I kinda did what fluffybunny81 did, but used 1tbsp of each: white cooking wine, Mizkan rice vinegar, and reduced salt soy sauce. Mixed these with the sugar first before I added the oyster sauce and chopped garlic! This will be a regular for meals, definitely! Thanks so much! x - 25 Apr 2015
