About this recipe: The perfect stew to serve all year round, but is extra good on a cold day. It's easy to make and it's a hit with everybody. Serve with crispy tortilla chips, if desired.

Serves: 12 

  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast fillets, cut into bite size pieces
  • 285g tinned chopped tomatoes with chillies
  • 4 large potatoes, diced
  • 450g smoked sausage, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic granules
  • water to cover

  1. In a large saucepan combine the chicken, tomatoes with green chillies, potatoes, sausage, salt, pepper, garlic granules and water to cover. Put heat on medium low, stir all together and let simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until potatoes are cooked through and tender.
