    About this recipe: This recipe couldn't be any easier. Five ingredients are placed into a slow cooker, switched on and left for 4 to 8 hours. The resulting chicken is delicious! Serve with rice, potatoes or shred and use as a sandwich filler.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 6 frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast fillets
    • 350ml barbecue sauce
    • 125ml Italian salad dressing
    • 4 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
    • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:4hr  ›  Ready in:4hr10min 

    1. Place chicken in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, Italian salad dressing, dark brown soft sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken.
    2. Cover and cook 3 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.

    Very tasty, I made a few slight changes to it. I did the meat on high for 3 hours 30 minutes, from chilled, not frozen The slow cooker says to do all meat from chilled/defrosted. After the 3 hours 30 minute was up, I removed the meat and shredded it, put it back in the slow cooker for another 30 minutes, still on high Was delicious The make of ingrediants used were: Lea And Perrins Worcestershire Sauce Tesco Dark Soft Brown Sugar Newmans Own Italian Dressing and Heinz Classic Barbecue Sauce 5 x Alyn Valley Chicken Breast Fillets Using the measurements listed in the recipe, I was left with a nice lot of sauce The result was a very tangy, almost fruity bbq tasting sauce/meat - 12 Apr 2015

    I used whole chicken thighs instead of breast and didn't have the salad dressing in so went without it. But it still turned out well. Will deffinitely be making again. - 08 Jan 2012

    made this yesterday. Me and my husband thought it was lovely but the kids weren't keen. think it was too spicy. didn't have a clue what kind of barbecue sauce to use, and the one i got was really quite hot and tangy. will be trying again tho, maybe with different brand. - 27 Sep 2011
