Best Lavender Lemonade

    Makes: 4 glasses

    • 875ml water
    • 4 tbsp lavender flowers (or 2 tsp buds)
    • 100g sugar
    • 125ml lemon juice

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:1hr chilling  ›  Ready in:1hr15min 

    1. Bring 1/3 of the water to the boil. Pour over lavender flowers and steep for about 10 minutes. Strain.
    2. Combine remaining water and the sugar. Bring the mixture to the boil and cook for 1 or 2 minutes.
    3. In a jug combine lemon juice, lavender water and syrup. Chill.


    Follow step one and then add the water, sugar and lemon juice and stir well. Chill and serve.

    Other ideas

    Follow step one. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to the boil. Cool and chill. This gives a lemonade concentrate that lasts longer and doesn't get watery when ice cubes are added. It also softens the acidity of the lemons.
