This is a really straightforward traditional parev recipe that includes the classic ingredients of matzah and cinnamon. It is ideal for Seder night as it makes a large pudding, just the perfect dessert after a heavy meal. The apple juice and egg mixture ensures the pudding is light and fluffy.

The BEST kugel ever. I'm not Jewish but have a lot of Jewish friends and they love this recipe! Good as a side, breakfast, dessert or snack!

Crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy in the middle. Drizzle melted chocolate over the top for a nice presentation.

Haroset is a traditional Jewish Passover dish. This haroset recipe is more of a confection, and very different from the typical apple based variety. It can be stored in the refrigerator for one week in an air-tight container.

Perfect for chocolate lovers! Great for entertaining, deceptively easy to make. Perfect for people who can't have gluten. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, or simply dusted with icing sugar. I flour the cake tin using cocoa powder so it won't leave white marks on the cake and keeps it totally gluten free. You can make an icing for the top or pour over melted chocolate.

I think it's very easy, well most of it sure is anyway! The only bit that I really struggled on was the mixing of the ingredients - the mixing it into breadcrumbs with your fingers bit I actually found to be easier using dough whisks. Plus it reduces your mixing time by about 5-8 minutes. From then it gets pretty easy with the rolling and cutting and everything...!

A beautiful moist light cake with complex and full flavours of oranges and orange zest. Super easy to make, and people love it! Serve in wedges with a mound of whipped cream or ice cream. To make this completely gluten free - use gluten free baking powder. You can find this in health shops and in larger supermarkets.

My mother-in-law took great pains to prepare Gefilte Fish for Passover and Rosh Hashanah. The best legacy she left was to teach her sons how to do it and in turn they would teach their wives and then the next generation. This has been passed down and today it is still appreciated as the Mintz Family Gefilte Fish.

This moist honey cake filled with raisins and almonds is perfect for Rosh Hashana. It receives extra flavour from a honey and lemon glaze.

My mother makes a GREAT beef brisket. She got the recipe after watching a friend's Jewish grandmother make it. It is perfect, delicious and easily kosher for Passover. Enjoy! Great with mashed potatoes or potato latkes (latkes with this meal are also kosher) or roasted vegetables (with olive oil, salt and pepper - also kosher).

Adults love this one, too! It's perfect for the 4th or 5th day of Passover when you start running out of creative cooking steam! You can add any vegetables you like or have on hand.

Garnish with a sprinkle of sugar and some strawberries. The centre will be a little fudgy tasting. There are never any leftovers to worry about.

A whole chicken is rubbed inside and out with dried herbs, then roasted with lemon and olive. Simple but very delicious.
