Traditional Australian recipe, handed down from my mother. Her recipe has coconut and ginger in it which makes these especially good. Originally, these delicious bikkies were lovingly baked and sent in care packages to our soldiers at war.

Naturally sweet and moist, these make a great addition to a packed lunch. They are also a good way of getting the family to try some more unusual grains and seeds, and add new healthy ingredients to the diet.

This is an interesting twist on the classic that my daughter made at school. It has now become a firm favourite in our house.

For all the gorgeous chocolate cakes around (and there are many), I still have a soft spot for these crunchy, chewy little buns. I include them partly because when looking for a recipe for them recently I found it suprisingly difficult to find one. Oh come on, don't tell me you don't like them! so get COOKING!!!

Here is a really easy and tasty recipe for Rocky Road. There are so many variations, you can add nuts, dried fruit and biscuits it really is up to you, but below you will find the recipe that I use.

This incredibly easy and quick to prepare traybake tastes like heaven on a plate with its marshmallow, coconutty goodness! I like to use a combination of white and pink marshmallows.

Most people’s ideal brownie is one that is moist in the centre, almost gooey, and with a rich, deep chocolate flavour. This recipe uses both chocolate and cocoa powder, which gives the brownies plenty of chocolate flavour, and also contains muscovado sugar to help produce the desired fudgy texture.

As chocoholic I am always trying to make up for all of my weekend indulgences by finding ways to satisfy my sweet tooth during the week without any of of the naughtiness. This is as innocent as chocolate cheesecake comes, but its still rich, creamy and hits the spot when you just need some chocolate.

This is a super easy flapjack recipe using ingredients that are usually on hand. Try using walnuts as a variation.

Flapjacks are universally popular, and the light and fruity version here will appeal to the whole family. It’s quick to mix, and not long in the oven. Serve the flapjacks with fresh fruit or yogurt for a speedy breakfast, in place of porridge, or enjoy them as a coffee-break or afterschool energy booster.
