Once you see how easy it is so make this bread in your bread machine, you won't buy it at the store anymore!

These little bread rings, Jewish in origin, are delicious teamed with savoury fillings such as smoked salmon and a soft cheese, or egg and salad. The double cooking method – first by briefly poaching in boiling water, then baking – gives bagels their unique soft crumb and slightly chewy crust.

This is a yeast bread that I make regularly. You can ask your local bakery or health food shop for fresh yeast.

Orange rolls - very soft white flour dough with grated orange zest, butter and sugar filling. Excellent recipe for parties, always a crowd pleaser!

This recipe is the next best thing to a bakery babka! Although babkas are traditionally yeast-risen breads, this one is more similar to a sweet quick bread or cake.

Serve this traditional Czech Christmas bread with butter. Some people toast it and eat it with jam or icing sugar depending upon local customs and family preference. It takes a while to make, but is well worth the effort.

Potato bread farls are fried in a little olive oil to make one of the essential components of an Ulster fry-up! They taste great on their own with a little salt, or with a fried egg on top.

A little parsley adds a hint of freshness and colour to dishes, but when used in quantity its unique flavour can really be appreciated. It also makes a healthy contribution along with the vegetables to this delicious filling for bagels, which is based on creamy reduced-fat soft cheese.

This is a very nice, soft loaf which will warm you up with a cuppa on a cold, rainy day! It smells fantastic while it is baking.

The word "farl" is Gaelic for four parts. Make these with leftover mashed potatoes and serve hot with a little butter and salt, or fry them alongside soda bread as part of an Ulster Fry-up!

Despite the title, this recipe takes several hour to prepare. Luckily, these fresh flaky croissants will be worth the wait!

Instead of making the traditional Sally Lunn buns like they do in Bath - I prefer to make a whole loaf of this brioche-style bread.

They're soft, sticky and full of flavour. I adapted them from Todd Wilburs Recipe for cinnabon cinnamon rolls. I make mine in muffin cases in muffin tins as there is less washing up, they are less messy to eat and easier to take with you.
