Really easy to make and can be still be made successfully without self raising flour as once tried it when I grabbed wrong jar of flour and realised too late although not as light and fluffy as orginal. May need to double recipe for hungry people.

Serve warm with ice cream for a lovely pudding, or with honey or syrup for a breakfast treat.

This recipe is perfect for an indulgent weekend breakfast with porridge or pancakes, and also works beautifully as an impromptu dinner party pud when served with vanilla ice cream or Greek yoghurt.

A delicious and simple recipe for brunch or a quick dessert. May be served with butter, sugar, jam or chocolate spread. Enjoy!

This is one of my favourites. The most important thing (I think) is to cook it slowly so the eggs stay tender.

Eggy bread is always popular for breakfast or brunch at the weekend, plus it's something the whole family can enjoy! But if you fancy these for dessert instead, give them a light sprinkle of icing sugar and serve with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.

This recipe is simple. I made it up determined to use up any mushrooms I had. Mushrooms are sautéed in butter with rosemary, garlic, parsley, vegetable stock and whiskey. Perfect served on toast.

Spinach and eggs are a classic combination, and drizzling a little cream over each dish adds a lovely richness.

Fluffy pancakes that melt in your mouth. Separating the eggs and folding the whipped whites into the batter makes these special.

A childhood favourite of mine. We eat this every Sunday morning. Golden pan style egg dish, with lots of big bubbles while baking. Serve with honey, maple syrup or preserves.

Was frying some cheap sausages when they sort of crumbled into sausagey breadcrumbs. I fried some other stuff, veg, flavourings, two eggs, into it. It turned out REALLY nice!

For us DIY-ers, this is an easy way to make creamy, smooth yoghurt at home! It tastes GREAT, and it works! It is yummier and cheaper than shop-bought. When you read it, you might think it is too involved... but really, you just let it sit in the warm water, checking the temp every now and then. It actually does its own work - kind of like letting bread rise. I use the time to get other things done around the house. Don't be scared off - it's really pretty easy.

This is possibly the closest thing to a Greek fry up as you'll find! Also called strapatsada, this classically simple dish consists of just three ingredients: eggs, tomatoes and olive oil. You'll be amazed, however, at the complexity of flavour that is derived from such simplicity. Serve with crusty bread and feta for any meal of the day, or even as part of a meze spread.

This is a traditional Norwegian potato pancake. We eat ours with butter and sugar.

This is such a great way to use up that bit of roasted veg that would otherwise languish in the fridge. I used feta in my frittata, but you could use a different cheese if you prefer. Similarly, I made mine with leftover roasted potato, parsnip and carrot - which worked beautifully - but do use whatever leftover veg you have.
