This is a great banana muffin recipe! It has little sugar and almost no fat if you use half fat creme fraiche.

This recipe is the next best thing to a bakery babka! Although babkas are traditionally yeast-risen breads, this one is more similar to a sweet quick bread or cake.

We attended a fayre in Wales and the ladies of the local church were baking and selling these traditional cakes. We asked for the recipe and they graciously shared it with us.

As chocoholic I am always trying to make up for all of my weekend indulgences by finding ways to satisfy my sweet tooth during the week without any of of the naughtiness. This is as innocent as chocolate cheesecake comes, but its still rich, creamy and hits the spot when you just need some chocolate.

This is a wonderful, light teatime cake that's not too sweet. Excellent way to use up all those giant courgettes from the garden!

This is a recipe from my wonderful mother-in-law, who lives in Hamburg, Germany. It's more of a sweet tea bread but it tastes perfect, warm from the oven!

This is a lovely, moist tea time bread made with wholemeal flour, ground ginger, coriander and cinnamon. It works with orange or apricot juice too.

The texture of this irresistible teabread is a mixture of crumbly ginger-spiced cake and a sticky, sweet prune purée that is rippled through it. The teabread keeps well – in fact, it improves after being stored for a day or two – and is a good choice for an energy-giving lunchbox sweet.
