These are non-alchoholic but very delicious. It makes enough for 12 shot glasses, but add more or less if you like, Great as starter, desert, snack anything really. I serev them up at barbecues and garden parties.

A very typical spanish sangria, with a twist at the end.. I make this for parties and bbqs, I always make a 5 litre bucket it's cheap and very cheerful, always a hit!! It has vodka but the sangria is so fruity that it won't be noticed.

I found a good sangria recipe and headed to the off license to purchase the alcohol. In the queue, ahead of me, was a man who said he has been a bartender for 20 years now, and that my recipe needed a few touch-ups if I wanted to make it like the Pros. So, here is what he professed to me, muchos thanks to the other submitters for their delicious versions.

Spanish Sangria

This is an authentic version of the popular sangria. You can add any fruit that you want, but I find that apples and pears absorb all the rum. I have much success with Burgundy wine and white rum, though spiced rum is nice too.
