A delicious low-fat muffin. Children love them, and it's a great way to get them eating wholemeal. If desired, add sultanas or some chopped nuts.

They are so delicious - you wouldn't believe that something with prunes could be this good! They're also low in fat, with just about 5 grams per muffin. A great morning or afternoon snack!

Super-simple and moist muffins with a juicy liquid pear core. If you prefer a sweeter muffin, you can add more sugar, but the fruit in this one keeps things sweet enough as it is. Great way to use up pears that are starting to look a little past their best!

This is an excellent recipe where no butter, oil or any type of fat is added - it's virtually fat free. It is not to dry and not too moist. They also taste excellent! The icing is optional but if you want them to be a little sweet - spread icing on top!!

Here’s a savoury version of American-style muffins, speckled with fresh herbs and spring onions and flavoured with Parmesan cheese. With their sponge-like texture, they make an interesting alternative to bread, to serve with grilled vegetables, soups and salads. Eat them plain or spread with a soft cheese such as quark or ricotta.

Similar to scones, these are great for teaching children how to cook and have fun in the kitchen. They look like little rocks but certainly shouldn't taste like them. This makes quite a big batch so you might want to halve the recipe or freeze some of them!
