A delicious, very easy to make, suet pastry pudding. This is my mum's recipe. I usually serve it with shredded cabbage and mash - pure comfort food!

A great dish as a light main with a green salad, or even as a starter. I have used loads of different cheeses with this and it's always good.

I used to make these for kids packed lunches, they are tasty, quick and easy and freeze well. Also used to do them for picnics and parties.

This has always been a favourite in our family since I was little. My mum gave me the recipe last year, when I cooked it for the first time. Now it's not just for Christmas anymore! It's fab warm, but also good cold. This can be made in advance and chilled in the fridge

When I tell people about 'herbie pie' they're like WHAT! It does sound funny, but it tastes delicious and is cheap to make too! I think a lot of people will be curious about this dish with it's strange name! I have made it for friends and family and they really liked it, in fact my friend even asked me for the recipe!

This is a recipe that my grandmother has passed on to the family. It is a very tasty and filling meat pie that originates from Quebec. It can be gobbled up for dinner or frozen and used at a later date.

I know most people buy these nowadays but they are easy to make if you use frozen pastry, plus you can vary the flavour. This recipe uses fresh chives and mustard. Grown-ups love them! For a birthday party, you can keep them plain or add grated Cheddar to the sausagemeat.
