This is my "anything goes" recipe, which means you can use whatever you have handy in the cupboard or fridge!

An authentic Scotch broth recipe using the authentic lamb, rather than beef which you often see today. You can use beef if you prefer, though I adore the lamb.

This is a popular meat dish from southern Norway. Lamb and cabbage are layered and stewed with peppercorns. Serve with boiled potatoes sprinkled with parsley.

Chunky pieces of parsnip add sweetness and fresh rosemary adds a distinct flavour and aroma to this traditional stew. If you use a tougher cut of meat, you can leave it to simmer longer before adding the potatoes. This is fantastic on a cold, blustery day or served with a pint or two of the black stuff on St Patrick's Day.

Minced meat is excellent value, very versatile and universally popular. It is used here in a quick Indian-style curry. serve with warm naan or chapattis and thick, creamy yoghurt.

This is a minced lamb and pasta bake tossed in pasta sauce, then covered in a white sauce and Cheddar cheese. I bake it in the oven until the cheese is brown and crispy, and then serve it with a salad!

For a complete healthy and tasty meal, serve with Ebly wheat or rice with diced carrots and courgettes. Also makes a great sandwich filling with cheddar cheese in fresh baguette...ideal for kids and greedy adults!! Use organic products for a nicer and tastier result.

My version of Liverpool's finest stew! A great stew for the autumn and winter months.

This is a rustic Spanish, spicy, mince based baked penne pasta dish which is perfect for a no-frills family supper. It has come about through trial and error in an attempt to replicate a dish that I ate in a Spanish farmhouse some 15 years ago. In our family it is simply called THE Pasta Dish. The sauce makes 5 portions and so it becomes economical and quick after you've cooked the batch of sauce.

Warm and comforting recipe from my mum. Great for those lamb or roast beef leftovers (best with lamb though). Use leftover gravy, or buy shop bought gravy.
