Not a cottage pie, not a sheppards pie it's just yummmmm ! Extremely tasty,very lazy laid back cooking,just chuck it in and see. Easy adaptable recipe for one person to as many as you have, just adjust the ingrediants to suit you and go for it. Serve with veg of your choice.

I always used to run to the kitchen when I was little and my mum was cooking this for tea. Another one of her family's simpler recipes, this makes for a very cheesey treat in winter time, just serve it up with some crusty bread and Bob's your mother's brother! I find it always tastes better with a mild rather than a mature cheddar. I have also suggested white potatoes, as I prefer their texture in this recipe. But this is also up to your own personal taste (or whatever's in your cupboards!)

Polenta should be served straight from the pot or chilled and then pan fried. Wild mushrooms, cheese, fresh herbs and olives are good additions to this delicious comfort food. Quinoa adds a nice nutty flavour to this vegetarian dish.

Filled with a delicious combination of finely chopped courgette, spinach and hazelnuts, then topped with grated Parmesan cheese and baked, these mushrooms make a very tasty, hard-to-resist party bite. They look their best if the mushrooms used are all about the same size.
