Made with minced turkey, these burgers are generous in flavour and lean on fat, for a satisfying dinner that's quick to make and a great favourite with children. Serve in muffins, baps or ciabatta rolls.

Take your leftover roast turkey and turn it into this delicious warming pie. Using Christmas dinner leftovers, this recipe couldn't be easier!

This is great for using leftover chicken, or even leftover roast turkey after Christmas.

This is a delicious and quick way to use up leftover roast turkey or chicken. Serve the creamy turkey over squares of airy puff pastry for something of an improvised pie. Alternatively, serve the turkey over egg noodles or rice.

This is a very simple and hearty soup with plenty of flavour. Leftovers are even better the next day for lunch.

These are an all-American favourite. As the name suggests, they have a messy appearance – a bolognese mixture served between wholemeal rolls – but it's a recipe all the family will love, and it can be prepared ahead. Lean minced turkey is used here as a lower-fat alternative to minced beef, but you could use either.

This chilli is easy to throw together using fresh ingredients. Eat as is with some crusty bread, or use it to top a jacket potato. I like it with grated Cheddar on top.

Although traditionally made with chicken, my recipe uses turkey, due to there being not much difference between the two when cooked and also because it is generally cheaper to buy. This recipe also uses a very cheap yet simple ingredient, fresh beansprouts, which really add to the texture of the dish. I also tend to make the sauce using a simple but effective Discovery packet mix which just cuts down preparation time but doesn't hinder the quality of the final dish.

Began eating these when I first went to Austria at age 3, and discovered the recipe from my fiancé's grandmother. A simple, easy and incredibly tasty method of cooking a variety of meats. Choose a healthier oil (sunflower, olive) for frying. I use quick cook chicken breast steaks and pork medallions cut thin and beaten too; traditionally veal is used. Serve with sauté potatoes and a green Styrian salad.
