This is a simple recipe. After making them the first time my husband said 'no more' to beef burgers. These are really good - any cooking method may be used, and they freeze very well.

This is a delicious low fat meal and really good on the BBQ in the summer too! I serve this with a green salad and rice, use brown to make it a low GI dinner.

This a my family's favourite recipe. We used this sate recipe for Barbeque in the summer and we also like it as a starter to a meal in the winter. The flavour is exceptionally good when cook on a Barbeque. It is equally good when the sate are cook under a grill.

A sauté is a French-style stir-fry, whizzed over a high heat in a frying pan – great for these ready-cut turkey strips cooked with mushrooms, orange and brandy. Accompany with buckwheat, rice or couscous. Delicious!

The whole family will enjoy this juicy salad with hot turkey. Serve it on its own, or with a jacket potato for a main course.

These are an all-American favourite. As the name suggests, they have a messy appearance – a bolognese mixture served between wholemeal rolls – but it's a recipe all the family will love, and it can be prepared ahead. Lean minced turkey is used here as a lower-fat alternative to minced beef, but you could use either.

With pastrami (cured, smoked beef) and bagels, the inspiration for this thick, filling sandwich can only be New York City. But unlike the Big Apple's favourite snack, this version replaces the mayonnaise with herby, reduced-fat soft cheese and includes lean turkey. It is perfect for a tasty lunchtime bite.
