Quick and easy, with a gorgeous non-pastry topping. Try a variety of apples, mix it up...

Yummy variety of apple pie that is quick and easy. I was a hit with my boyfriend's pals in university whenever I made this favourite!

This apple pie has a delicious sweet crumb topping with a tart, but sweet, apple filling. Eat straight or with ice cream or custard.

This was my gran's apple pie recipe. I have never seen another apple pie quite like it. It will always be my favourite and has won me several first place prizes in local competitions. I hope this pie becomes one of your favourites as well!

A unique apple pie recipe with a crunchy topping and old fashioned filling. You may vary the amounts of oats and pecans in the topping to your liking.

A favourite among my family and friends. The apples go great with the shortbread crust. Very easy and delicious! Serve with cream.

Teenagers especially will love this unusual pie, which layers flour tortillas with diced chicken and red kidney beans in a spicy tomato, sweetcorn and pepper sauce. Serve with a green salad and a side dish of diced avocado sprinkled with lime juice, for a meal with an exciting Mexican flavour.

A delicious, very easy to make, suet pastry pudding. This is my mum's recipe. I usually serve it with shredded cabbage and mash - pure comfort food!

A great dish as a light main with a green salad, or even as a starter. I have used loads of different cheeses with this and it's always good.

This is a warming dish for the cold weather months, rich with lean beef, celeriac, chestnuts and shallots. The suetcrust pastry lid is flavoured with herbs, and breadcrumbs are added for a light, crumbly texture so the pie is not heavy to eat. For extra vitamins serve with lightly cooked spinach.

Rich pies in many forms have long graced the British table. This one is light and healthy with a filo crust and protein-rich meat and vegetable filling.

Take your leftover roast turkey and turn it into this delicious warming pie. Using Christmas dinner leftovers, this recipe couldn't be easier!

Calzone is a bit like an Italian version of a Cornish pasty, but with the tasty filling sealed inside pizza dough rather than pastry. This recipe combines diced chicken with olives, roasted peppers, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese to make an ideal snack for a packed lunch or picnic.

This is my mum's apple pie. This is the recipe I use all the time and I love it. I also use a dash of nutmeg so if you wish you can put that in too.

Perfect on a chilly autumn evening...it's been in my family for years. The cinnamon may be a surprise ingredient, but it adds a good rich flavour.
