I'm not a lover of stews but my partner is so I started making this one for him. He loves it so he gets it every two weeks and complains if I suggest making a beef one instead. Also this needs to be made the day before you plan on eating it.

Delicious, naughty, gorgeous and really easy to make! No baking required! If you can melt chocolate and bash biscuits this is for you!!

An authentic Scotch broth recipe using the authentic lamb, rather than beef which you often see today. You can use beef if you prefer, though I adore the lamb.

This is an Indian dish, similar to tandoori chicken but not as spicy. Marinate the chicken for at least 2 to 3 hours, giving the flavours a chance to meld - it will definitely be tastier.

This takes some time, but is well worth the effort. I use a food processor. It is a hearty soup, great on a cold winter night. Serve hot, topped with soured cream.

Easiest recipe I've ever made! I received it when my eldest son was a baby -- today he is 17 and it is still a hit! Just a few minutes of preparation, and all day cooking. Dinner will be hot and ready whenever you have a chance to eat. Meat falls from the bone, and sauce can be used as a gravy for rice or chips. Enjoy!

A hearty soup, great for a cold, blustery winter day. It is best cooked one day ahead, refrigerated overnight and heated just before serving.

Use your favourite brand of pasta sauce or tinned chopped tomatoes. Add chicken, green peppers, onion, garlic and mushrooms and your done! The slow cooker does the rest. Serve with roast potatoes, mash, rice or pasta.

Chicken livers are so economical, but you'd never know it when you taste this rich and delicious pâté. It feels like the ultimate indulgence, spread on elegant toasts.

One of my favourite dishes when I head back home; it combines hard-boiled eggs with the subtle flavour of anise and the deep brown hues of black tea and soy. The cracked patterns from the broken shells make these quite attractive! I eat these sliced in quarters and chilled as a side dish, starter or snack. Recipe courtesy of Mum.

A simple chocolate mousse is an elegant way to end a meal. Great for parties, cause you can make the mousse well in advance.

These taste so good that I guarantee you will really like them! It's easy enough too for children to make.

This recipe is a cross between a crème caramel and a cheesecake but alot easier to make!

Also known as "carabaccia", this is a local specialty in Florence, and is hard to find even in cookbooks specialising in Italian soups! The effect should be rich and somewhat sweet (but not too much). Adding roasted garlic would be a good variation.

For us DIY-ers, this is an easy way to make creamy, smooth yoghurt at home! It tastes GREAT, and it works! It is yummier and cheaper than shop-bought. When you read it, you might think it is too involved... but really, you just let it sit in the warm water, checking the temp every now and then. It actually does its own work - kind of like letting bread rise. I use the time to get other things done around the house. Don't be scared off - it's really pretty easy.

I've been making this for years. I can prepare it in the morning and leave it to marinade all day. As long as you have chicken, a fresh lemon and garlic - you are all set to go! Serve with salad or this is especially nice with cubes of roasted potatoes, flavoured with rosemary.

I have made up this great slow cooker recipe that can be made in bulk to make portions to freeze. We use as a one-pot meal to put into tacos; in wraps; on pizza; on toast. Its so versatile, so easy, so cheap, so healthy ! You can easily vary what is added.

Spend a little time making this delicious, savoury pasta sauce, then freeze it in meal-sized portions so that you have fresh homemade sauce on hand at any time! Add 250g mince if you prefer a meatier sauce.
