This recipe uses amaretto liqueur. It's a creamy cheesecake with a light almond flavour.

With its two key ingredients - rum and butter - this Christmas cake recipe ought to be a hit. This is less dense and more cake-like than many Christmas cake recipes. It has become a favourite of my friends and family at Christmas, and is delicious by itself, or covered with a layer of marzipan and icing.

Delicious, naughty, gorgeous and really easy to make! No baking required! If you can melt chocolate and bash biscuits this is for you!!

This is just like traditional Christmas pudding, but with less fat. The house smells great all day long. It's wonderful served with rum or cranberry sauce.

This Christmas cake is lovely in texture and taste. It just has one difference - no chopped mixed peel.

For my family, Bonfire Night isn't complete without a slice or two of sticky parkin. Let this sit for a few days before serving for best results.

This is a great recipe that gets compliments when ever I make it. It is very rich, and worth the time and calories.

A delicious cake studded with glace cherries. A nice alternative to your usual Christmas cake.

I haven't made this yet the measurements will probably have to be changed, hopefully I can come back and change this. The chocolate recipe is from another user here.

I got this wonderful recipe from a bed and breakfast my hubby and I stayed at. It is always a hit every time I make it! Garnish with caramel or chocolate sauce if desired.

This cake is a rich, moist fruit cake, perfect at Christmas. Try icing with marzipan for a more festive touch. This recipe is started in October or November so as to let it mellow before the holidays.

This is a cake that my gran use to make for Christmas. Sadly she is no longer with us, but we now make it ourselves; even my brother makes this at Christmas. It is not very healthy but it's Christmas anyway.

The word 'dobos' means 'like a drum' in Hungarian. However, this cake is named after its creator, Austrian pastry chef Josef Dobos.

A beautiful moist light cake with complex and full flavours of oranges and orange zest. Super easy to make, and people love it! Serve in wedges with a mound of whipped cream or ice cream. To make this completely gluten free - use gluten free baking powder. You can find this in health shops and in larger supermarkets.

Very rich chocolate mousse over a rich chocolate cake layer and topped with chocolate ganache and chopped nuts. Great for special occasions. This cake takes TIME to make, and TIME to set. It's worth every second of preparation, and is a hit every time!

This is a cake I made last week to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. HMS victory represents one the the Royal Navy's finest Victories, which makes the ship's name very poignant.

This recipe is a MUST for rum lovers! If you don't like rum, then substitute another spirit eg brandy.

This recipe has been passed down through eight generations of my family. It came to me on my 16th birthday as a gift of heritage and wisdom from my grandmother and I have enjoyed baking this recipe once a week for the past 5 years. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This is a really nice moist tea loaf and can be served hot or cold. Originally the recipe made 23 loaves but my grandmother and me have managed to work it for three.

It looks really difficult but it is actually amazingly easy - its just the ingredients list that looks daunting. This also makes an unforgettable wedding or christening cake.
