This is a popular Catalan garlic sauce that goes very well with grilled meat and roasted pepper and aubergine (Escalivada). I have seen many spellings for this (i.e. alioli, aioli...) but the real name is "All i Oli" - from the Catalan for Garlic and Oil - and these 2 are the only ingredients although there are variations and some places add egg to ensure the consistency of the sauce, which with our without egg should look like mayonnaise.

As chocoholic I am always trying to make up for all of my weekend indulgences by finding ways to satisfy my sweet tooth during the week without any of of the naughtiness. This is as innocent as chocolate cheesecake comes, but its still rich, creamy and hits the spot when you just need some chocolate.

This is a recipe I have known since I was a child and is a great one to rustle up if you are in need of a quick chocolate fix as it comes out as a chocolate sponge cake with a delicious choc sauce hidden at the bottom. Great with icecream!

The Nepalese version of scrambled eggs: fried red onions, exotic spices and fresh coriander combined with fluffy scrambled eggs. Served on toast, these eggs make a great alternative to a fry up.

I've simplified this recipe for Couscous Mesfouf without losing any of its deliciously complex flavour. Prepare all the mix-ins ahead of time and it takes only minutes to make. Enjoy!

A variation on the Woo Woo, which I first tried in St Lucia on holiday. The most moreish alcoholic drink I've tried. You can play around with the quantities of vodka, peach schnappes and juice to suit your own tastebuds and tolerance for alcohol!
