This is a really simple brownie recipe. it has been tried and tested many a time and they certainly dont last very long in the cupboard. I always use chocolate chunks when i bake them however walnuts are just as good, it is just a family preference. these morish gooey chocolate treats are an all year all occasion must bake.

Kinderpunsch is an alcohol-free, warming drink, served mainly at Christmas markets in Germany. Substitute white grape juice for apple if you prefer.

This is one my mum used to make when we were kids. It was always the biggest hit every year. Use your imagination and a variety of sweets to make doors, windows, pathways and a garden. Note, this gingerbread house takes 2 to 3 days to complete.

Nothing beats a mug of this on a cold autumn day. A nice alternative to mulled wine.

A really, truly gorgeous dried fruit salad that I serve in the evenings to share with my mum and sisters over a good movie. Of course you don't have to use organic food or rainforest honey... but sometimes these little touches help I think. Add the pine nuts however much or little you like them, about 2 tablespoons is good for me.

This recipe is soooo easy and I've been told it's better than shop bought. This recipe is for a big batch of millionaire shortbread trust me you will need it.

This moist, fruit-rich cake is so packed with flavour that you will not notice it has none of the fat of traditional recipes.

A tasty oaty treat with a fruity edge to it. These are great tasting and versatile. You can pick the dried fruit of your choice and they will still taste delicious. for a lemony kick substitute the orange rind for lemon rind and add a tbls of lemon juice. they will keep for upto a week in an airtight container. do not freeze.

This is my mother's recipe for Swedish gingerbread. We like the cookies very gingery, chewy, and warm. They are a great festive treat to have with a glass of cold milk or a cup of tea. This recipe can also be used to make puffier and more substantial gingerbread men. I can't think of anything better to smell baking on a cold evening.
