A delicious low-fat muffin. Children love them, and it's a great way to get them eating wholemeal. If desired, add sultanas or some chopped nuts.

This recipe uses egg whites to keep the fat content low. You can find 500g cartons of liquid egg white at alot of supermarkets now, but you can of course use whole eggs if you prefer.

What makes these muffins extra special is the abundance of berries and the sweet lemon glaze drizzled on top. You can freeze them for up to a month. Take them out of the freezer the night before for a perfect breakfast.

Most modern-day muffins should be ashamed – they're oversized, lacking in fibre, loaded with fat and packed with sugar. These tender golden muffins are bundles of whole grains that will please your heart and your palate.

After a painful (yummy, but ridiculously unhealthy) amount of experimenting with different recipes I came up with this one. I think it's pretty damn good, myself. Also, it's sooo much better if you can leave these in a fridge overnight, as this makes 'em far more fudgey (ie. far more YUMMY!) They go down great at school =D

These American favourites are relatively easy to make, and nothing's better for Christmas morning!

These muffins are extra large and very delicious. I usually double the recipe and fill the muffin tin to the very top to get huge coffee shop sized muffins. Add extra blueberries too, if you want!

The dough for these cinnamon buns is made in a bread machine before it is shaped into buns and baked in the oven. If you don't have a bread machine, follow the notes at the bottom of this recipe.

A delicious afternoon tea speciality - direct from Cornwall. Split open and serve warm with butter, clotted cream and real strawberry jam.

Wholemeal muffins - honey-sweetened and packed with flavour - still manage to be low-fat and good for you. Semi skimmed milk, egg whites and just a little oil make these the healthy choice.

Banana muffins make a healthy snack for children after school. They are so easy to make and freeze well too. So, make these instead of throwing away those brown bananas!

Not only do grated vegetables and dried fruit add food value and flavour to these American-style muffins, but they also make them deliciously moist. Unlike many muffins, these are not too sweet, so they are as good in a packed lunch or as a snack as they are for breakfast or a tea-time treat.
