Just like the title says - a delicious pavlova topped with banana slices, caramel sauce and whipped cream. The perfect combination of two very yummy desserts making one that will have you making it over and over again.

This banana and toffee tart is well worth the wait and requires little actual prep time. I like to use hob nobs but digestives or shortbread work well too.

Banana muffins make a healthy snack for children after school. They are so easy to make and freeze well too. So, make these instead of throwing away those brown bananas!

Simply add sparklers or long wand candles to turn this light but gooey meringue into a birthday cake. As it has a pastry cream and fresh raspberry filling, it’s much lower in fat and calories than conventional celebration cakes.

Fairy cakes are easy to prepare and always popular with children. Using ricotta in the topping makes a lighter, fresher alternative to the more usual glacé icing. The cakes are best iced shortly before serving.

This is an extremely easy recipe. I always use a flat rectangular baking tray for it so it bakes through but I bet you can use the loaf tin too and it would come out beautifully. This cake serves a legion of hungry flatmates and co-workers for 2 days but then you'll have to bake a new one.

My mum doesn't like sweet things as a general rule, but these are her favourites. I made them up on a sunny Sunday afternoon with some leftover raspberries.

This cake always goes down well and is requested often. It's so easy to remember as it's equal measures of butter, sugar and flour. If you're in a hurry shove all the ingredients for the cake in a bowl and cream together before you bake it. Use any seasonal fruit you like.

This recipe makes 12 individual tarts - but you will need to either buy or make the pastry shells first. Top with whipped cream or custard for a heavenly summer dessert!

I have a few books of baking, one of them is the very famous book by Nigella Lawson, which gave me the main idea of how a carrot cake should taste. Then I found a recipe from another book, the hamlyn chocolate recipes. There is a page of making white chocolate muffins with natural bio yogurt. I make some muffins out of that recipe, and this week, By combining the recipes from both books, here comes the healthy carrot cake.

Almost fat-free, this very light cake really is the food of angels. It is made using egg whites only, no yolks, and during baking develops a delicious golden crust that hides the tender, pure white interior. Here, it is served with creamy fromage frais and summer berries, but it is just as lovely with juicy peaches, mango or apricots.

A rich reward for picking your way through the thorny brambles! Use your choice of fresh raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and/or chopped pitted cherries. If you don't want to use alcohol, you may substitute orange juice.

This recipe is great for people who are lactose intolerant, but anyone and everyone is sure to love them.

I love watermelon in the summer, it is the perfect snack for a hot, sunny day. I was inspired to make my favourite summer snack into a cocktail. This sweet, fresh, pink hued cocktail has all the sparkle and zing that would please your guests at a summer bbq!
