Spicy and sweet, this delicious chutney goes well with breads, cheeses and chicken. This makes a large batch - great for sharing with neighbours and friends at Christmas!

This relish has a great flavour, especially with the addition of celery. It goes well on leftover turkey in a sandwich on Boxing Day. Chopped nuts can be added if desired.

Fresh cranberries are cooked with orange zest, orange juice, lemon juice and brandy. This is a lovely holiday sauce to serve with roasts, and to put on the sandwiches you make with the leftovers!

Here are some luxurious little ‘moneybag’ pastries filled with a ginger-spiced mixture of dried fruit, apple and walnuts. The dried fruits are first soaked in brandy, although you can replace the alcohol with fresh orange juice if you prefer. Try these at Christmas-time as a lower-fat alternative to mince pies.

This recipe is a lovely alternative to the standard sponge trifle at Christmas. It is an attractive layered dessert. This recipe uses a shop-bought Christmas pudding and a tub of premium custard. Christmas cake works well too but it is not as moist.

This is a chunky cranberry sauce with apple, sultanas and spices. I suppose it's more like a chutney, but either way it's great with leftover turkey on Boxing Day.

Sweet, tart and crunchy, this unusual and colourful coleslaw is enlivened by a combination of cabbage, cranberries and orange slices.

A late friend from london gave me this recipe 30 years ago (her name was Diz-hence the name) , and whoever tries this recipe makes the Plum Bread for life. So Simple - So Tasty-Better than any bought & lasts for weeks. Being as it keeps so well I make 2 at a time - can freeze. I spread with butter (perhaps slice of cheese) , but fine on own. Also can warm a slice for min. in microwave for quick pudding.

Perfect mince pies to serve at Christmas or to include in a Christmas hamper! Use best-quality shop bought mince, or plan ahead and make your own with this recipe.

Mulled cranberry juice, like mulled wine, is a winter tradition in my home. This warm, comforting drink is easy to prepare and is great for Christmastime.

To die for delicious. A fairly quick and easy party nibble and guests can't get enough. The perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Easy to adjust for large or small groups.

Michelin starred French chef Raymond Blanc has very kindly donated a 'tree cake' for our campaign. Raymond belives that "The tree, since the beginning of time, has meant food and shelter. TREE AID's Christmas Cake Bake is a wonderful way to remind us all of this, and to ensure that villages in Africa can share in the bounty afforded by trees."

Wondering what to do with all that leftover Christmas turkey and ham? Mix your leftovers with a basalmic vinegar dressing and some fruits, nuts and cheese for a gourmet salad.
