Make this sweet almondy cake when fresh rhubarb is in season. This recipe makes two cakes so you can give one away.

You can take advantage of nature's harvest for this dessert, and pick the blackberries where they grow wild in hedgerows.

A delicious recipe, if you are like me and love apples and walnuts...

This recipe uses egg whites to keep the fat content low. You can find 500g cartons of liquid egg white at alot of supermarkets now, but you can of course use whole eggs if you prefer.

Apple purée and cinnamon add a sweet and moist variation to the classic batter of milk, eggs and sugar. An unusual but delicious idea for kid's brunch or Christmas morning, especially if you substitute brioche for the bread.

I think French toast and bananas are a perfect pair. For a real American-style brunch, garnish with fresh strawberries, a sprinkle of icing sugar and drizzle of maple syrup.

Deliciously moist Irish wheaten bread with hints of banana, strawberry and white chocolate. If you prefer, you can make this into scones rather than a loaf.

This recipe has been created with the idea of lowering the fat content. These are so delicious - you'll never miss the fat, and chocolate still makes an appearance!

Mashed bananas and poppy seeds are mixed with wholemeal flour and wheat bran in these wonderful, moist muffins. Great for breakfast on the run or for the children's snack after school.

This banana and toffee tart is well worth the wait and requires little actual prep time. I like to use hob nobs but digestives or shortbread work well too.

Celebrate blackberry season with this simple, yet delicious dessert. Equally good served warm on their own or with a dollop of fresh cream.

Serve warm with ice cream for a lovely pudding, or with honey or syrup for a breakfast treat.

These muffins are extra large and very delicious. I usually double the recipe and fill the muffin tin to the very top to get huge coffee shop sized muffins. Add extra blueberries too, if you want!

This is a classic banoffee pie, sure to satisfy any sweet tooth! Since the most time consuming thing is making the toffee, I like to boil a few tins of milk at a time and reserve some for the next time I make banoffee -- doing this makes the second, third and fourth pies actually quite simple to make!

Banana muffins make a healthy snack for children after school. They are so easy to make and freeze well too. So, make these instead of throwing away those brown bananas!

If you use a ready made pastry case, this is a simple recipe to follow. The only problem is - the finished pie looks too good to eat!
