It's an astonishingly basic combination of ingredients that brings tantalizing flavour. Great on spare ribs or chicken.

This is a really easy tropical-style cocktail recipe. You can garnish it with some pineapple pieces or one of those little umbrellas.

This is a brilliant refresher for hot summer days. You'll find food grade citric acid at a health food store or Asian market.

This has always been a favourite in our family since I was little. My mum gave me the recipe last year, when I cooked it for the first time. Now it's not just for Christmas anymore! It's fab warm, but also good cold. This can be made in advance and chilled in the fridge

Liven up your salads! This is a super quick recipe for making a delicious dressing that I learnt whilst studying in France. It'll make fresh leaf salads more exciting and it is easily adaptable to make it your own!

This is an easy to make refreshing drink made from elderflowers. These start to make an appearance around June. Once made and bottled it can be frozen and used when required. I first made it with my children who helped to pick the flowers and then make the drink. They still enjoy it and is now an early summer ritual. It's nice as a gin mixer, or diluted with soda or sparkling water for a change. Can be made without the oranges and less lemon according to your preference.

I think its very easy, well most of it sure is anyway! The only bit that i really struggled on was the mixing of the ingredients, mixing it into breadcrumbs with your fingers bit i actually found that it was easier with the dough whisks. plus it deduces your mixing time by about 5-8 minutes. from then it gets pretty easy with the rolling and cuttting and everything...!

I found a good sangria recipe and headed to the off license to purchase the alcohol. In the queue, ahead of me, was a man who said he has been a bartender for 20 years now, and that my recipe needed a few touch-ups if I wanted to make it like the Pros. So, here is what he professed to me, muchos thanks to the other submitters for their delicious versions.

A tasty oaty treat with a fruity edge to it. These are great tasting and versatile. You can pick the dried fruit of your choice and they will still taste delicious. for a lemony kick substitute the orange rind for lemon rind and add a tbls of lemon juice. they will keep for upto a week in an airtight container. do not freeze.

Plum Baby's baby foods are so packed full of flavour, they make great dips when mixed with a few strong ingredients. I love their salmon, spinach and parsnip puree so I experimented and came up with this.

Recreate a old favourite that Just William and the Famous Five would recognise. A perfect refresher for a warm summer day, and not too sweet. You can increase or reduce the ginger taste by varying the quantities of ginger used.
