You'll find a good choice of classy ice creams in larger supermarkets, which can be the basis of some wonderful desserts. Transform your ice cream into something extra-special with this easy sauce.

As a confirmed chocoholic being put on a dairy free and wheat free diet was traumatic, but this pud has kept me on the straight and narrow. Be warned it is very rich!! Tips :- Use the water to rinse out the can before recycling it. If you do not like the desiccated coconut texture just leave it out.

This moist, decadent cake is perfect for a party and uses basic ingredients that you're likely to have to hand. It's also vegan, though your guests will never know it!

A heavenly, two ingredient chocolate dessert! So easy, too! After chilling for a couple of hours, you can also use the firmed mousse to make chocolate truffles.

I think its very easy, well most of it sure is anyway! The only bit that i really struggled on was the mixing of the ingredients, mixing it into breadcrumbs with your fingers bit i actually found that it was easier with the dough whisks. plus it deduces your mixing time by about 5-8 minutes. from then it gets pretty easy with the rolling and cuttting and everything...!

This rich, fudgy pud bakes in the oven and comes out with two layers - a chocolate cake layer on top and a fudgy chocolate sauce layer on the bottom. Spoon into serving bowls and garnish with a dollop of cream, creme fraiche or ice cream.

I kind of just threw this thing together one day, but it turned out great. I don't like alcohol, but the rum (I used a cherry rum) made it all that more amazing. Sorry there's no picture, but you'll have to take my word on it when I say that it tastes great. If anyone makes this and adds a picture, that would be even better.

Cooked and cooled polenta can be cut into shapes and grilled to make an excellent base for a tempting topping. Here the polenta is flavoured with Gruyère cheese, and the topping is a savoury mixture of mushrooms, walnuts and herbs. Serve as a sophisticated starter, with a few mixed salad leaves if you like.

This recipe was passed down to me from my mum. It produces a rich, chocolaty cheesecake perfect for all cheesecake and chocolate lovers alike! Taste a little to ensure that the right amount of chocolate-ness has been reached. If you like cheesecakes a little more chocolaty then you may need to add a little more cocoa powder/water mix to taste.

This is such an easy, but beautiful dessert to serve for company in the summer when fresh berries are in season. Gelatine leaves work better, but powdered gelatine is easier to find generally.

My parents own a traditionally-run sheep farm in the Falkland Islands. Cruise ship tourists come to visit and enjoy the experience. I cook this chocolate cake for my mum to serve to her visitors. It's simple and delicious and was given to me by my friend's mum because my son is allergic to egg.

This lovely tart is perfect for company; it's rich, impressive and quick! Although it only takes a few minutes to assemble, leave at least 8 hours before serving for the tart to chill. It can be made in either a 20 or 23cm pie dish or tart tin.

A very impressive and delicious recipe for how simple it is! Just crush the garlic with the side of a chef's knife blade instead of chopping it, and keep the sprigs of rosemary whole - this allows them to be easily removed before serving.
