I adored black forest gateaux in the 70s and loved trifle so decided I would fuse the two. You can make it all from scratch but also easy to substitute ready made goods if you don't have the inclination. The ingredients are split to enable you to decide at each 'layer'.

This is a very easy recipe, requiring no sugar thermometer and no sensitive tempering of the chocolate. Make several to give as a homemade food gift or to include in a Christmas hamper.

This is pure heaven - well I think so anyway! It's sweet, melts in your mouth but is not chewy. This version is flavoured with chocolate and it makes a great gift. I always make some for my daughter's teachers at Christmas.

Insanely easy, but so gorgeously rich! Recipe makes a large amount but you can vary flavourings and coatings to make several different varieties. All the better to give as gifts!

A heavenly, two ingredient chocolate dessert! So easy, too! After chilling for a couple of hours, you can also use the firmed mousse to make chocolate truffles.

A luscious chocolate mousse cake that required little cooking time. Surprisingly easy despite the oohs and ahhs you'll receive!!!

This recipe was passed down to me from my mum. It produces a rich, chocolaty cheesecake perfect for all cheesecake and chocolate lovers alike! Taste a little to ensure that the right amount of chocolate-ness has been reached. If you like cheesecakes a little more chocolaty then you may need to add a little more cocoa powder/water mix to taste.

This is such an easy, but beautiful dessert to serve for company in the summer when fresh berries are in season. Gelatine leaves work better, but powdered gelatine is easier to find generally.

A quick and easy recipe that contains no eggs or gelatine and is suitable for any occasion. It's great served with whatever fruit is in season.

This lovely tart is perfect for company; it's rich, impressive and quick! Although it only takes a few minutes to assemble, leave at least 8 hours before serving for the tart to chill. It can be made in either a 20 or 23cm pie dish or tart tin.

I prefer to make a shortbread base rather than use digestive biscuits - it tastes a little richer. But the choice is yours. Either way, this is a great dessert for a crowd.

I tried 3 different Banoffee Pie recipes I found online and a recipe book. So I've made my own version of the banoffee pie using the basis of the recipes I have found and added a bit of twist! My partner and friends love this and I hope you will too.

This is an easy to make treat with minimal cooking I make with my daughters (age 3 and 16 months). The youngest likes cleaning out the bowls and whisks.

A light but quite rich alternative to the standard dark chocolate mousse. This is a must for all chocoholics or if you need an easy dinner party dessert! It does require chilling time however!
