So simple, but always gets raves! Add leftover steak, poultry or roast beef for a quick supper fix.

An autumnal salad to make the most of the squash season. Dorset Blue Vinney adds good, sharp flavour but is lower in fat than most cheeses, making this a healthy dish all round.

Choose waxy potatoes of good flavour such as Jerseys, Pink Fir Apple, Anya or, if you are in Scotland, Ayrshires.

This is a very tasty summery dish, a favourite for myself and my hubby. I have also made it for friends and family and they all thoroughly enjoyed it!

English recipes for pigeon date back to the Middle Ages, when it was a popular meat. This modern dish uses a very English combination of nuts and berries. Leave at least 12 hours to marinate the pigeon breasts.

This fruit salad is inspired by the classic summer drink, which is often garnished with so much fruit that it is almost a fruit salad in itself. A mixture of sweet melon, berries, pear and cucumber is marinated in Pimm's and then served in melon shells. A decoration of pretty borage flowers is a traditional finish.
