Classic Beef Stroganoff

Stroganoff is a wonderful last-minute dish for guests; it is rich and creamy, but is simply and quickly prepared. Traditionally it is served with a rice pilaf, but is equally good over egg noodles.

The word 'dobos' means 'like a drum' in Hungarian. However, this cake is named after its creator, Austrian pastry chef Josef Dobos.

I think its very easy, well most of it sure is anyway! The only bit that i really struggled on was the mixing of the ingredients, mixing it into breadcrumbs with your fingers bit i actually found that it was easier with the dough whisks. plus it deduces your mixing time by about 5-8 minutes. from then it gets pretty easy with the rolling and cuttting and everything...!

An italian style dish,very impressive for dinner parties!I usually serve this with new potatoes,carrots and 'green beans' as they are used alot in italian cookery,add's to the authenticity of the dish!

A traditional fish dish from Russia, this is made with poached salmon, rice and mushrooms. The updated version here uses crisp filo rather than the usual puff pastry. As all the preparation can be done ahead of time, a koulibiac is an ideal dinner party dish. All it needs with it are some colourful steamed vegetables.
