A delicious and creamy leek and bacon soup recipe from Germany! It's called "Lauchrahmsuppe mit Speck" in German. Perfect for cold wintery days.

A dash of apple juice will add a little sweetness to the tangy sauerkraut in this one-pan German style dish. Caraway seeds are a must!

Roast pork with apple sauce, an all-time favourite, is given a new twist in this dish inspired by German cuisine. It is absolutely delicious served with roast or jacket baked potatoes and seasonal green vegetables.

Here's my version of veal and pork bratwurst. Although this fresh sausage recipe is time-consuming to make, it's the best! You can lower the fat content by adding the optional raw potato. This method is for a food processor, but you can also use a meat grinder. You can also stuff the mixture into sausage casings.

This is a delicious dish I ordered again and again when I was in Germany. It is best served with chips to clean up the remaining gravy and a nice green salad.

This is pure comfort food especially for when its a cold day. The recipe was originally made by my Gran, my Mum taught me, and now I want to teach everyone, it's too good to be just a family recipe! The dish came about as my gran was German and my grandfather was Indian. My Granddad loved spicy curries, and using sausages was cheaper than cuts of meat, the Germans have the dish curried sausage. The dish has a spicy sweet but mellow flavour with a lovely thick sauce

This is a traditional Bavarian Recipe, although you will get it all over Germany and in many Central European Countries as well. In parts of Germany it is cooked in water and is called Eisbein, however this is the bavarian version and is roasted crispy (knusprig)

Began eating these when I first went to Austria at age 3, and discovered the recipe from my fiancé's grandmother. A simple, easy and incredibly tasty method of cooking a variety of meats. Choose a healthier oil (sunflower, olive) for frying. I use quick cook chicken breast steaks and pork medallions cut thin and beaten too; traditionally veal is used. Serve with sauté potatoes and a green Styrian salad.
