A Greek favourite that makes everyone think you are a master chef, yet it is sooo easy to make!! I taught a Greek friend how to make sticky toffee pud, and she taught me this fabulous recipe.

My version of this classic Greek dish. My family love it and its great for a dinner party too. Make it the previous day for the best flavour and add/make the topping on the day of eating! Serve with crusty bread and a Greek or mixed salad. Tip - You can make this without pre-frying the aubergine, just layer the raw slices (no thicker than .5cm) as described and add 10 mins to final cooking time.

The only tricky part of this recipe is working with filo pastry, but once you get used to it - it's easy. Sometimes you get a batch of filo that rips and tears, so I always buy an extra just in case. I usually freeze these before baking. Just add a few minutes to the cooking time if you are cooking them from frozen. I have also doubled this recipe for large parties.

This is simple and easy. It freezes well, too.

This is a recipe that my mum got from a colleague and would make regularly when I was young. Galaktoboureko is a traditional Greek dessert made with a custard in a crispy filo pastry shell. After all these years it is still a family favourite. I hope that everyone enjoys it as much as we do.

This classic Greek prawn dish is baked with a tomato sauce and topped with feta cheese. Relatively quick and simple to make. This recipe goes wonderfully with rice pilaf and some crusty bread.

This is my own version of bifteki. They aren't usually made with cheese, but I find the feta makes them all the more tasty!. Serve on it's own with a Greek salad, or as burgers in a bap. These are also good baked in the oven.

This is a lovely bread to add to a Mediterranean meze table. Use black or green olives and try it toasted, drizzled with a little olive oil and rubbed with roasted garlic.

This can be used in place of shop bought filo pastry.

This is a Greek cheesecake prepared with honey and unsalted mizithra or ricotta cheese. These cakes are usually prepared during the Easter festivities in the Cycladic islands, especially in Sifnos and Ios.

Keftedes are economical, versatile and - above all - unbelievably tasty! These meatballs are baked instead of fried, but still get nice and crispy. Read my tips below for how to serve them as nibbles or make great use of leftovers.

These all butter biscuits are traditionally made in Greece round Easter. I like them any time of year, and also make them at Christmas. They're delicious dunked in coffee - as is done in Greece!

A simple all-butter biscuit that melts in your mouth. These biscuits or similar variations are common in other countries, as well - also sometimes known as Russian Tea Biscuits or Mexican Wedding Cakes.

This is a great Greek/Turkish aubergine dish flavoured with cinnamon. Delicious on its own or with rice or couscous.

Here's an easy take on a Greek moussaka, using diced aubergines instead of fried aubergine slices. Cover with cooked potatoes and a traditional egg and cheese topping and leave in the oven. Serve with a salad. Delicious!
