Spicy and sweet, this delicious chutney goes well with breads, cheeses and chicken. This makes a large batch - great for sharing with neighbours and friends at Christmas!

A lovely recipe that my mum-in-law gave me. We have enjoyed it as an alternative to traditional cranberry sauce.

Delightfully fragrant and spicy cranberry chutney. It's a nice departure from a traditional cranberry sauce.

This is a chunky cranberry sauce with apple, sultanas and spices. I suppose it's more like a chutney, but either way it's great with leftover turkey on Boxing Day.

When your allotment overflows with courgettes like mine does, this is a brilliant chutney to make. Everyone I've ever served it to loves it.

This is a tasty and colourful alternative to regular cranberry sauce. I make up a batch of a dozen jars around Christmas for friends and neighbours.

For those of you with a serious glut of chillis try this ... This'll keep for at least 12 months and just keeps getting hotter!

This delicious, tangy chutney of green tomatoes, onions, peppers and spices is perfect with sandwiches, potatoes, cheese and lots of other things. A jar of this makes a great food gift, too!

We live in Saudi Arabia in a close-knit community full of different cultures, and our neighbours from Pakistan have become like our extended family away from home. Kokub, one of our neighbours, makes the most amazing mango chutney. A few years ago she invited me to help her. Of course, she doesn't use a recipe, so the NEXT time I went over with my scale so I could recreate her magic on my own. What an incredible experience!

This is a delish chutney to serve as a canape with fois gras or alongside your favourite roast. The onions are stewed in red wine for several hours, for a taste like no other!

This is an old recipe that is especially good on meats. Instead of parsley you may substitute mint, rosemary, sage, tarragon or thyme. If you can only find dried parsley, use 4 tablespoons.

A spicy peanut coriander chutney which can be eaten cold with pitta, samosas, on sandwiches or with roti. Store in the fridge and use within 1 week. If chutney thickens add more yoghurt to thin it out.

The sweetness of mango, pineapple and red pepper is given a zing from fresh ginger and a kick from hot chilli. Serve this chutney with chicken or seafood for an exciting burst of flavour!

This chutney or relish is quick and easy as it uses cranberry sauce from a jar. It's a blend of spiced apple, cranberry, apricots and sultanas and is delicious with cold meats. It does taste better after it has chilled for at least 3 hours.
