This relish has a great flavour, especially with the addition of celery. It goes well on leftover turkey in a sandwich on Boxing Day. Chopped nuts can be added if desired.

This dressing is great with artichokes, asparagus, or green salad, and it's one of the easiest recipes I have! Using a good quality olive oil makes a big difference in this dressing.

Blue Cheese dressing has many uses. It can be served with vegetable sticks or as a dip for other starters, like chicken wings. And it's gorgeous on a crisp green salad with garlic croutons, cherry tomatoes and chicken breast fillets.

This is my gran's recipe. It makes a good amount, so be prepared to give some of it away - perfect for Christmastime. Serve with cold cuts, cheese or a Ploughman's lunch.

This is the way that we have made mayonnaise for years and years in my family, before commercial mayonnaise was sold so cheaply. It's always delicious!

I love anything pickled, so I tried asparagus with a touch of chilli! You'll need a tall, wide jar so you can keep the stalks upright.

These pickled chillies are great in salads, sandwiches and wraps, or to serve alongside a meat dish. These can be made less spicy by removing the seeds from the chillies.

There was always a tradition of pickles in our house and shop bought spice never quite did it justice so we started to make our own. I'm afraid i cant share the family pickle recipe but i can share how to make the spice mix!

This healthy and versatile dressing is superb when drizzled over a salad or barbecued meats, and also acts as an excellent dip for toasted pitta. Tofu can be soft or firm, but do not use extra firm tofu. For a little heat, try adding a small amount of wasabi before blending.
