This is a beautiful dish that's always a hit! This is a layered antipasti plate, so you can cut it in square slices neatly and find all the ingredients in every bite. Add veggies to your liking. Serve with fresh ciabatta or crusty bread. Enjoy!

I bought a similar spread at the supermarket awhile back, and I thought that I could do it better and cheaper myself. I use tinned artichoke hearts, though you can buy fresh artichokes and cook them yourself.

This recipe is aimed at those who don't like any or most of the following ingredients... avocados, tinned pilchards (in brine) or tinned herring fillets (in oil) and stuffed olives. This is because once you try it - you'll love it. As a starter serve on a lettuce leaf with a garnish of finely sliced tomatoes, a lemon wedge or two and a sprig of parsley, accompanied by warmed melba toast. As a snack, put out the bowl with a range of plain and salted crackers.

This is a heavenly roasted aubergine dip which originates from Lebanon. Delicious served with pitta, vegetables and houmous as part of a meze platter, or - of course - on it's own!

These little nibbles feature cherry tomatoes stuffed with a cool mixture of mayo, bacon and spring onion. They look great arranged on a platter of rocket.

Pitta is spread with cream cheese, and rolled with a slice of bacon. They come out of the oven warm and crispy. Make sure you get the first one because they don't last long!

Light and flaky, these tarts are easy to make and easy to reheat. Just wrap loosely in foil and heat at 180 C for 10 to 15 minutes, or until warm.

This is easy especially if you live near a good farm shop that sells dates already stuffed with nuts. I've used almonds, pecans and cashews - all work. This is great when you need an appetizer in a hurry. I buy everything at Garsons Farm Shop in Esher.

Mushrooms and bacon make a lovely pair. It can't get simpler than this recipe. Use cocktail sticks to hold the bacon in place while cooking. I usually have to make a double batch of this party favourite to satisfy our guests.

This moreish party nibble is impressively presented. Be sure to use a hearty, good-quality crusty loaf of bread for this recipe.

An exciting blend of pork, vegetables and spices, sealed inside spring roll wrappers, then baked until crisp. Delicious and crunchy without deep frying! A great party nibble guaranteed to impress guests.
