This is my version. Use a very tender cut of pork for this and thread onto skewers and barbecue. Serve with a Greek salad or wrapped in pitta with tzatziki.

This oddly wonderful combination of ingredients makes a surprisingly different and delicious soup that everyone will enjoy! Serve with a dollop of yoghurt on top and some crusty bread for dipping.

My two-year-old loves these high-fibre muffins, but they make a healthy and tasty snack for anyone at any age!

This is an old German favourite. Light and delicious almond meringue biscuits with the flavours of lemon and cinnamon. To make Zimsterne, or cinnamon stars, bake in star-shaped metallic biscuit cutters placed on the baking tray.

Make this sweet almondy cake when fresh rhubarb is in season. This recipe makes two cakes so you can give one away.

This is a beautiful dish that's always a hit! This is a layered antipasti plate, so you can cut it in square slices neatly and find all the ingredients in every bite. Add veggies to your liking. Serve with fresh ciabatta or crusty bread. Enjoy!

A delicious low-fat muffin. Children love them, and it's a great way to get them eating wholemeal. If desired, add sultanas or some chopped nuts.

A little diced apple makes these rock cakes moist and fruity. Quick and easy to prepare, they are ideal to cook with younger members of the family, who will enjoy making them as much as eating them. Cooking is not only fun for children but also encourages them to be more aware of the foods they eat.

Apple purée gives this sauce a rich thick texture that coats meat well. It has a sweet spicy flavour, excellent on chicken or pork. It may also be stored in sterile glass jars.

This recipe uses egg whites to keep the fat content low. You can find 500g cartons of liquid egg white at alot of supermarkets now, but you can of course use whole eggs if you prefer.

This chunky apple jam recipe has a hint of spice that reminds me of autumn. Leave the spices out if you prefer a pure apple jam!
