This is my version. Use a very tender cut of pork for this and thread onto skewers and barbecue. Serve with a Greek salad or wrapped in pitta with tzatziki.

This oddly wonderful combination of ingredients makes a surprisingly different and delicious soup that everyone will enjoy! Serve with a dollop of yoghurt on top and some crusty bread for dipping.

This is a beautiful dish that's always a hit! This is a layered antipasti plate, so you can cut it in square slices neatly and find all the ingredients in every bite. Add veggies to your liking. Serve with fresh ciabatta or crusty bread. Enjoy!

Apple purée gives this sauce a rich thick texture that coats meat well. It has a sweet spicy flavour, excellent on chicken or pork. It may also be stored in sterile glass jars.

Cream cheese, almonds and apples make this creamy and irresistible. Enjoy this dessert with your loved ones at Christmas.

This recipe is for making your own liqueur but be patient - it takes a few weeks before you can use it. You will need a wide neck jar for this too. You get the added bonus of some deliciously preserved boozy apricots too. Eat the fruit separately, warmed through and served with brandy snaps and ice cream.

I bought a similar spread at the supermarket awhile back, and I thought that I could do it better and cheaper myself. I use tinned artichoke hearts, though you can buy fresh artichokes and cook them yourself.

These minature quiches are so simple to make since there's no pastry - great for a party.

This recipe is aimed at those who don't like any or most of the following ingredients... avocados, tinned pilchards (in brine) or tinned herring fillets (in oil) and stuffed olives. This is because once you try it - you'll love it. As a starter serve on a lettuce leaf with a garnish of finely sliced tomatoes, a lemon wedge or two and a sprig of parsley, accompanied by warmed melba toast. As a snack, put out the bowl with a range of plain and salted crackers.

This is a wonderful, yet simple, guacamole recipe. Perfect when you need nibbles to serve at the last minute. Serve with tortilla chips.

This is a heavenly roasted aubergine dip which originates from Lebanon. Delicious served with pitta, vegetables and houmous as part of a meze platter, or - of course - on it's own!

These little nibbles feature cherry tomatoes stuffed with a cool mixture of mayo, bacon and spring onion. They look great arranged on a platter of rocket.

Pitta is spread with cream cheese, and rolled with a slice of bacon. They come out of the oven warm and crispy. Make sure you get the first one because they don't last long!

Mushrooms and bacon make a lovely pair. It can't get simpler than this recipe. Use cocktail sticks to hold the bacon in place while cooking. I usually have to make a double batch of this party favourite to satisfy our guests.

This exciting Italian dipping sauce is meant to be served warm with crudités, crusty ciabatta, or whatever inspires you. The creamy blend of garlic and anchovies will become a favourite!
