This is a recipe I adapted from my grandmother's. This warm and comforting soup is easy to make and perfect for a Sunday evening with crusty ciabatta.

Delicious, naughty, gorgeous and really easy to make! No baking required! If you can melt chocolate and bash biscuits this is for you!!

You can take advantage of nature's harvest for this dessert, and pick the blackberries where they grow wild in hedgerows.

I am not suggesting for a minute that spaghetti carbonara can be a diet food. However, if you are a fan of this creamy, comforting pasta dish and balk at the calories, here's a method that shaves a few off by omitting butter and cream. It's still yummy though!

A spicy authentic East Indian speciality! Try making your own curry for a change - you won't regret it. The vindaloo paste can also be made ahead of time, covered and put in the fridge, to save cooking time.

This meringue is made with a sugar syrup and is stabilised by cornflour. More durable than most meringues. Can be used to top one lemon meringue pie, or can be piped onto a baking tray to make nests.

This curry is quite quick and easy to make but the temperature of the flame is critical so is therefore best if you have a gas cooker.

This is a great sweet we have here in Scotland. It is a complete sugar rush. It may be too sweet for some people but I love it. Try it anyway and see what you think. Kids will love it!

Began eating these when I first went to Austria at age 3, and discovered the recipe from my fiancé's grandmother. A simple, easy and incredibly tasty method of cooking a variety of meats. Choose a healthier oil (sunflower, olive) for frying. I use quick cook chicken breast steaks and pork medallions cut thin and beaten too; traditionally veal is used. Serve with sauté potatoes and a green Styrian salad.
