First, pieces of banana are sprinkled with lemon juice and rolled in brown sugar and cinnamon. Then they're cooked quickly and carefully on the barbecue. Serve with vanilla ice cream. You can also do it in a frying pan with melted butter.

If you're having a bbq, this is a simple pud and works with most any fruit. I have used peaches, halved damsons, apples, pears - whatever you have on hand!

This barbecued peach dessert could not be easier. To serve, drizzle some honey over each peach and garnish with chopped nuts.

This is so easy and guests love it. The brandy adds a special flavour, though rum works well too. Quite nice with ice cream or sorbet.

Not much to prepare with this one, you simply need a few bananas - one for each person you are serving, and a large bag of milk chocolate buttons. You could also perhaps try white chocolate buttons for an original twist!

I came up with this idea when I was looking for a sweet to serve at our BBQ party. Easy to make and can be made without alcohol for the kids. These can be prepared in advance to allow the alcohol to soak in. Very easy to make and delicious. The sugar coating on the donuts crystalises when cooked giving a crispy texture with a soft fluffy centre.

We have these on the BBQ when on holiday in our caravan

These are so easy to make and really remind me of summer. So often we only barbeque meats and fish, forgetting that fruit cooks on a bbq so nicely too. It works just as well with coconut if you've a nut allergy sufferer and nectarines and apricots also switch into the recipie easily. This is for those with a sweet tooth. The creme fraiche is good if you like something not quite so sweet, but the kids love it with ice cream.

This recipe is so simple and so delicious. Not the best for calorie counters but the boys in my flat share LOVE IT!
