A wonderful Italian recipe for an uncooked sauce made with fresh garden tomatoes. You don't have to cook a thing except for the pasta!

This will satisfy even the most demanding curry addict. Lean and tender sirloin steak is quickly cooked with lots of spices, tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach, with yogurt added to give a luxurious feel. Served with cardamom-spiced rice, it makes a really healthy and nutritious meal.

Bay, lime and olive oil create a delicately aromatic sauce for mullet cooked in parcels, topped with a sprinkling of sorrel. Serve with steamed vegetables for a stylish, no-fuss meal.

This is a light summery pasta salad that I love because the flavours go so well together. Lemon juice and a drizzle of good olive oil finish everything off nicely. It does taste best when chilled for 1 or 2 hours.

When I was in university, I created this delicious pasta dish using my favourite cheap ingredients: bacon, button mushrooms and garlic.

A flavourful, slightly spiced twist on clapshot, which features the addition of bacon and hails from northern Scotland. Perfect with roast meats or double the servings and serve as a tasty supper.

Aubergine adds a lovely flavour and texture to this hearty vegetarian pasta dish that is topped with a crisp layer of breadcrumbs and Parmesan. The rich tomato sauce could be made in advance, then the dish can be quickly assembled and baked when you wish. Serve with a green side salad.

This recipe uses less milk and no thickener whatsoever! Very cheesy, too! You can either serve it from the pot, or top with buttered breadcrumbs and put in a 180 / Gas 4 oven to brown for half an hour, but we like ours fine without.

An easy vegetarian pasta dish that's perfect for a quick weeknight supper. A hearty and delicious tomato, spinach and black bean sauce is served over whole wheat pasta. It's also great served with brown rice, and you can substitute tinned borlotti beans for the black beans.

This is a delicious and simple vegetarian pasta dish. Use your favourite blue cheese -- I always use Danish blue as I'm a lover of strong flavours. Use spinach fettucine if you like!

Silverside is a lean cut of beef, but you can also use plain or salt brisket. The dumplings puff to twice their original size, so allow plenty of room in the casserole.

This simply prepared fish stew is a classic French recipe from Marseilles. Serve with a slice of hot toast topped with a spoonful of rouille.
