This is a treat for breakfast that the entire family will enjoy. If you want it a touch healthier, simply omit the sugar and butter.

To make a soup into a complete meal, sometimes you need a little more than just a hunk of bread. These wraps can be eaten on their own, but are best served with Roasted Cherry Tomato Soup (recipe on this website) for added protein.

This is my favourite starter of all time I've only ever found it in one restaurant and couldn't find it on the net so I tried to replicate as much as possible A simple yet tasty dipping tomato sauce with a blob of melted mozzerella in the centre and some toasted ciabatta bread on the side to dip. Variations. Why not use your favourite tomato sauce instead of the one below. You could mix up the type of tosted bread used to suit your own personal taste.

A late friend from london gave me this recipe 30 years ago (her name was Diz-hence the name) , and whoever tries this recipe makes the Plum Bread for life. So Simple - So Tasty-Better than any bought & lasts for weeks. Being as it keeps so well I make 2 at a time - can freeze. I spread with butter (perhaps slice of cheese) , but fine on own. Also can warm a slice for min. in microwave for quick pudding.

Classic and nostalgic, this pudding is delicious, and the microwave makes it easy to prepare. Switch out the golden syrup for treacle if you prefer.

This is a recipe I have known since I was a child and is a great one to rustle up if you are in need of a quick chocolate fix as it comes out as a chocolate sponge cake with a delicious choc sauce hidden at the bottom. Great with icecream!

A very simple microwave sponge pudding in less than 15 minutes with a texture between a sponge and a steamed pudding. Flavour it by adding raspberry jam, treacle or golden syrup to the bottom of the final bowl. Serve hot with custard.

My granny's clootie dumpling brought into the 21st century is no longer hours on end cooking, but just ten minutes in microwave! She makes it every year on Hogmanay.
