Fresh muesli, moist from soaking and rich with juicy fruit, is a revelation to those who have only eaten dried muesli. It has the soft consistency of porridge but the freshness of raw ingredients. This one is chock-full of both dried and ripe fresh fruit, making it a very satisfying way to start the day.

The original recipe for this nutritious breakfast cereal was developed over a century ago, by Dr Bircher-Benner at his clinic in Zurich. The technique of soaking the cereal, here using milk, makes it easier to digest, and also easier to eat. Try it not just for breakfast, but as a sustaining snack at any time of day.

This simple salad is a favourite of my daughters & whenever made will simply disappear from the fridge before I get to serve it! Quick & easy to prepare & useful to use up odds and ends of salad ingredients.

Lots of bran and oats and sultanas and nuts, with just enough brown sugar to add a bit of sweetness.

This is a quick vegan smoothie with a rich, creamy texture. It keeps you full and is perfect for people in a rush in the morning. You don't have to give up a good breakfast when it's this easy!

This is a creamy breakfast cereal made up the night before. Leaving it overnight softens and swells the oats. No cooking required. You only need to add some extra yoghurt on top if desired.
