This recipe is something that I actually developed myself. I love the combination of chicken, bacon, tomato and sweetcorn - they marry well together for me. It is a relatively easy recipe to prepare, and could be made lighter in calories by taking the skin from the chicken, and making sure the bacon is not too fatty.

This lamb shank recipe was initially given to me as a family favourite from a mate at work. I've prepared it in a slow cooker and made it as easy as possible to prepare. It has a fantastic flavour and the meat just falls off the bone. I have made this in the oven as well and doubled the quantities for four people and it tasted just as good, only everybody went in for seconds and there were no leftovers.

Amount of steak is to the size of the family - allow one medium size per person. You can vary the vegetables too. This can be put on in the morning and ready for dinner.

A traditional homemade stew with tasty ingredients. You can add whatever veg you like but because I don't like onions or most veg, I like very simple.

Tasty chicken recipe for your slo cooker. (have cooked in conventional oven for 2 hours at 180 and add the last ingredients 30 mins from end. Great made ahead and reheated.
