This is a very tasty and easy-to-make Filipino chicken dish made with soy sauce, garlic and vinegar. I can just as easily double or triple the chicken in this recipe to serve guests at a party. Serve over rice with just a little of the sauce (not too much).

Chicken thighs are excellent in a casserole, being very tender and full of flavour. Fresh apricots and a bulb of fennel make good partners, especially when spiced up with cumin.

Chicken with artichokes is a classic flavour combination, here given a Mediterranean touch with thin slices of red pepper, black olives, thyme and a hint of lemon. Boiled rice or new potatoes are ideal accompaniments for this vitamin-packed dish that is healthily low in calories and saturated fat.

This mild chicken and banana curry, enriched with almonds and yogurt, has a wonderfully smooth, creamy texture. Boneless, skinless chicken thighs add plenty of flavour, while being convenient to eat, quick to cook and quite low in fat. Serve with basmati rice and crispy grilled poppadoms or naan bread.

Adapted from a lamb stew recipe as I cannot eat red meat and turned into a yummy slow cooker recipe.

The simple, delicious flavours of this soup will make it popular with all the family. Try it for lunch at the weekend, served with plenty of crusty bread and fresh fruit to follow.

Choose waxy potatoes of good flavour such as Jerseys, Pink Fir Apple, Anya or, if you are in Scotland, Ayrshires.

This superbly flavoured dish uses toasted spices to give pungency to a yoghurt sauce enriched with coconut. Try serving with naans, chapattis or boiled long-grain rice, and Brussels Sprouts with Mustard (on this website).

There are a hundred different ways to cook chicken curry, but Bengalis (from the eastern part of India) make something called Kosha (or kawshaa) which is very good with either rice or any kind of flat bread. This recipe is called moorgi kosha (or chicken kosha), but my friend Jennie calls it Chicken Chicken Curry!

Chicken thighs are used in this recipe, but skinless breasts could be used instead. Be careful not to overcook, as the result could be rather dry chicken. Serve with warm flour tortillas, spicy salsa and soured cream.

This is a Pakistani recipe for a spicy curry. My mum made this dish, and I like it very much. You must try it. This dish is best served with basmati rice, chapattis or naan bread.

This is a delectable chicken dish from Kozani, a city and region in northern Greece. The prunes and onion lend sweetness, while the paprika offers a smoky flavour. Serve with steamed rice.

This recipe is something that I actually developed myself. I love the combination of chicken, bacon, tomato and sweetcorn - they marry well together for me. It is a relatively easy recipe to prepare, and could be made lighter in calories by taking the skin from the chicken, and making sure the bacon is not too fatty.

Chicken makhani is one of my favourite Indian dishes. It is a full flavoured dish that complements the chicken well. It can be made as mild or spicy as you wish by adjusting the cayenne. Serve with basmati rice and naan bread.

Don't go out for a doner - try this authentic Lebanese sandwich. Just as satisfying, but bounds healthier. Usually served with tahini sauce or toum.
