This fresh chorizo is delicious, easy to make and way better than shop bought. I keep some in the freezer at all times for a quick and easy breakfast with scrambled eggs and cheese. Enjoy!

The meat can be omitted without compromising the dish. Serve hot with crusty bread and a nice spinach salad.

A little spicy chorizo goes a long way and adds a fabulous flavour to this colourful rice and vegetable dish. Camargue red rice is especially nutritious, with a higher fibre content even than brown rice, and a wonderful nutty texture.

Not a recipe for people on a diet - chicken, sausage and penne pasta are baked in a creamy tomato sauce. I cook the meats, pasta and sauce all at the same time, but it can be done individually and refrigerated before baking it in the oven.

My mum always made pizza with chorizo growing up and I loved it. I have redone it and added more protein - chicken! I love homemade pizza.

This colourful dish of prawns, chicken and spicy chorizo sausage looks and tastes spectacular, yet it is so easy to make using a time-saving, ready-made salsa for flavour. Serve with a green salad. Delicious!

A typical Cajun recipe, this is full of spicy, complex flavours. With lots of rice and vegetables, it is a great dish to make a small amount of meat go a long way, and offers a healthy balance of protein and carbohydrate.

A warm casserole of sausages, baked beans and vegetables makes a hearty, satisfying meal on a chilly evening.

Slices of chorizo sausage are stacked in a pile with tomatoes, fresh basil and mozzarella. This makes a very nice starter.

This open sandwich of toasted ciabatta bread with a mixed pepper topping is typical of the style of food enjoyed in Mediterranean countries, where bread, along with plenty of fruit and vegetables, is a mainstay of the diet. A little chorizo sausage adds a spicy note to the sweet pepper mix.

Serve this delectable dish with a fresh, warm loaf of crusty bread for mopping up all the delicious sauce. Use Spanish chorizo if you can't find the Portuguese chouriço.

Chouriço is simply the Portuguese chorizo. All the better if you can find Portuguese chouriço for this dish, but the more ubiquitous Spanish chorizo will work just fine. Serve over mash or rice.

Wrap spicy chorizo sausage in parcels with frozen cod loins and peppers, then leave to bake for a super-convenient, richly flavoured meal. Just serve with a tomato salad and a baguette to mop up the juices. Delicious!

This is an easy simple recipe, you can cook for your family in no time. You can use a packet of chorizo form the market, but I like to buy from the butcher.

An extremely easy take on a sausage and bean stew with a rich smokey flavour. If you prefer, you could use a can of chopped tomatoes and a can of mixed beans in water instead of the baked beans but I actually find the baked beans are tastier, not to mention quicker!

Savoury and spicy chorizo made with pork, garlic, vinegar and dried chillies. This is a cheat's chorizo, as there's no need for casings. I just think everything tastes better when it's homemade - try it and see!

I make this for my kids for a treat - either for a hearty snack or supper. They adore them and I love them because they're easy to make!

Flavoured with a small amount of spicy chorizo sausage and crushed dried chillies, this is a traditional taste of Mexico. A quick-to-prepare guacamole and soft flour tortillas complete the meal.
