Vegetable moussaka
Recipe by:
Maggie Pannell
This is a clever variation on the traditional, meat-based Greek dish that is usually quite high in fat. The meat has been replaced with a selection of vibrantly coloured vegetables and the protein is supplied by borlotti beans. The dish is topped in the traditional way but with a yoghurt-based sauce.
Beef stifado
Recipe by:
Lolly B
This gorgeous beef stifado recipe is a traditional Greek casserole with beef and onions - perfect winter comfort food. Serve with lots of crusty bread to mop up the aromatic sauce. It is also typically made with rabbit, so feel free to substitute this if you wish.
Charlie's moussaka
My version of moussaka, the classic Greek dish. My family love it and its great for a dinner party too. Make it the previous day for the best flavour and add/make the topping on the day of eating! Serve with crusty bread and a Greek or mixed salad. Tip - You can make this without pre-frying the aubergine, just layer the raw slices (no thicker than 5mm) as described and add 10 minutes to final cooking time.

Veal with carrots - Greek traditional dish from the island of Lesvos
This is a traditional recipe that my grandmother used to cook in the beautiful island of Lesvos. The result is absolutely delicious for you, your friends, your family. It can be served with plain rice, smashed potatoes, orzo pasta (in the photo) or spaghetti. Enjoy it with a glass of dry white wine of your choice.
Braised Lamb, Green Beans and Tomatoes
Recipe by:
SCARYLIZ
This is a delicious recipe that I grew up on - a traditional Greek way to prepare lamb. Lamb and onion are browned in olive oil, then cooked with fresh green beans in a tomato sauce, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. I've added my own touch with some fresh mint.
