I first made these burgers about ten years ago when my son was 7 and wanted to help me cook dinner. Having some turkey mince in the fridge, I thought it would be fun for him to help make burgers. My son loved apricots and sultanas so we added them, and we have been making them ever since, either as burgers, which I serve wrapped in an iceberg lettuce leaf, or as meatballs with spaghetti and a simple tomato sauce.
